”I will champion the break off of Nigeria if the country is not restructured” says Femi Fani -Kayode at the recently held All Yoruba Submit on Restructuring.God what is happening in Nigeria and to Nigerian stakeholders and leaders? The state of Nigeria is now
liken to Christendom where members are being divided in belief and yet still bear one name.
The issue of restructuring came up very recently as the Indigenous People of Biafra clamor on having their own government since they have been marginalized after the civil war. Yes,if there are people who should be agitating for their right,it is this group of people who have not been carried along in political structure of governance,who have been treated like aliens in their own country.
Why would Femi Fani Kayode say ”I will champion the break off of Nigeria if the country is not restructured” at All Yoruba Submit on Restructuring? How are the Yorubas or the South west Nigeria being left out in the politics of the day? What is their interest on Restructuring? Yes,political powers have been shared between the south west and the North from time to time as though the power to rule as presidents rests only on their shoulders.
‘If we don’t have restructuring, we will break off and I will advocate the breaking off of this country. My fear is that if we do not take the restructuring thing seriously and do something about it, it may be the end of this country’. Why? Why would you do that? Why do you keep talking about restructuring, restructuring, restructuring without stating your view of interest or purposes Honorable Femi Fni-Kayode? Our ears are opened to hear your reasons why the Yorubas need restructuring otherwise,you will champion the break off of Nigeria!! Waiting….
